36th Annual Candlelight Walk – Quick Guide

When: Friday & Saturday, November 7 & 8, 2025 | 4–7:30 p.m.
Where: Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, 127011 Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, Orick, CA 95555


Timed Entry Groups

  • Group 1: 4:00–5:30 p.m.

  • Group 2: 6:00–7:30 p.m.
    Doors open 30 minutes before your entry time.


Tickets

  • $25 per person; children 12 & under free (ticket required)

  • Tickets on sale Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. PST via Eventbrite

  • Limited to 300 guests per night – sell out fast!

  • Non-refundable


Check-In

  • At the Visitor Center booth before your timed entry

  • Bring a printed or downloaded digital ticket

  • No cell service on-site – download tickets in advance


Shuttles & Parking

  • Parking along Newton B. Drury Parkway (approx. 2 miles from Visitor Center)

  • Shuttles run from parking area to Visitor Center check-in

  • Short walk from shuttle drop-off to check-in—watch for traffic

    Driving Directions:

    • From the South (Eureka area): Take Highway 101 N to Exit #753 (Newton B. Drury Parkway). Drive north approx. 2 miles and park on the wide shoulder of the Parkway.

    • From the North (Crescent City area): Take Highway 101 S to Exit #753 (Newton B. Drury Parkway). Note: Exit #765 will be closed for Hike & Bike Day on Saturday only. Drive north approx. 2 miles and park on the wide shoulder of the Parkway.

 


Trail & Event Highlights

  • Revelation Trail – ADA-accessible

  • Candlelight & twinkling string lights along the trail

  • Seasonal storytelling & redwood lore from local storytellers

  • Hot cider, cookies, and a silent auction at the Visitor Center

  • Pets are not permitted


Weather & What to Bring

  • Event takes place rain or shine – dress in layers

  • Be prepared for rain, wind, and chilly temperatures

  • Recommended items:

    • Warm layers, hat, rain gear

    • Sturdy, comfortable shoes

    • Water bottle

    • Flashlight or headlamp

Are there Candlelight Walk posters, magnets and pins available for purchase?

Posters with the Candlelight Walk logo as well as pins, stickers, magnets and keychains are available in the RPC Store.  All proceeds support Redwood National and State Parks.
