Titaneers in the Grove of Titans

The Titaneers, a group of volunteer interpreters and monitors, play a critical role in the continued preservation of the Grove of Titans’ delicate ecosystem by keeping visitors on the trail, providing important information on trail conditions, preventing vandalism, and so much more. Anyone who has a passion for the redwoods, enjoys spending time in one of Earth’s most beautiful places, and wants to protect and preserve these trees for generations to come—we invite you to become a Titaneer! Trail Brushing and Clean-ups!

Are you looking for a Volunteer opportunity that gets you out onto the trails within our parks? Are you excited about taking charge of your public lands and providing support to our parks maintenance and trail crews? We are currently setting up trail brushing and cleanup opportunities for Volunteers like YOU to help reclaim our beautiful trails for visitors to experience and enjoy!

Annual 5th of July Beach Clean-Up

The event will target three main beach areas: South Beach, Crescent Beach, and Pebble Beach. As Crescent City and Del Norte County prepare to welcome between 5,000 to 15,000 visitors for Independence Day celebrations, the threat of pollution looms large. Last year, volunteers at the clean-up collected a staggering 3,290 pounds of trash and toxic firework debris.

In collaboration with key partners including California State Parks, the National Park Service, Smith River Alliance, CalTrans, and the Del Norte Solid Waste Authority, RPC is mobilizing volunteers to tackle the litter with a focus on a 2-mile stretch along Crescent City’s South Beach. This collective effort is essential in mitigating the harmful effects of pollution on the ocean and the marine life that calls it home.

“By joining forces on July 5th, we reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of our coastal environment,” added RPC Executive Director, Sal Munoz Moreno. “Every volunteer who joins us on July 5th is making a tangible difference in protecting our coastal ecosystem and preserving the natural beauty of Crescent City.” To learn more or sign up, click here. 

Visitor Center Support Staff

Do you enjoy spending your time in Redwood National and State Parks? Are you passionate about helping preserve these gorgeous public lands for future generations? Do you enjoy the thought of interacting with park visitors who visit our parks daily? If you answered yes to these questions, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Come volunteer to work alongside Park Rangers and provide information to our Park visitors! We have several Visitor Center Locations that need YOUR help!

Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center

Located a mile south of Orick, literally on the BEACH!

Come volunteer at one of the park’s locations that takes our visitors on the beach to explore the beautiful coast line that is protected by our parks. Educate people on Snowy Plovers, and how important it is to watch our step while observing nature in its natural habitat. Send visitors to other areas in the park by giving out maps and providing directions, and so much more!
