Protect the Redwoods Together
Help us fundraise towards 4 important areas in our parks
Thanks to our incredible community of donors, we’ve met our $8,000 match, and unlocked $10,000 more in matching funds available through year’s end. Double your impact today!
Redwood Parks Conservancy has been a guardian of northern California’s natural redwoods and public lands since 2011. In partnership with the National Park Service, California State Parks, Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Forest Service, we provide critical support for the conservation projects, educational programs, and visitor experiences that help safeguard these irreplaceable natural treasures.
The unique biome of Redwood National and State Parks is found nowhere else on Earth. Less than 5% of old-growth redwoods remain, and these ancient forests—home to more than 1,000 species and a powerhouse for carbon storage—need our protection now more than ever.
Your year-end gift directly contributes to the preservation and enjoyment of these cherished landscapes. This year, we’re focusing support on four essential initiatives:
Redwood National and State Parks Interpretation & Education Programs
Interpretation and Education rangers deliver programs that educate and inspire thousands of visitors each year. From guided hikes and kayak programs to campfire talks, tidepooling, and the Junior Ranger program, these experiences help visitors understand their role in protecting these irreplaceable landscapes for future generations.
Junior Lifeguards and Aquatics Safety Program
The Junior Lifeguards program provides critical skills and safety training to approximately 400 youth on the North Coast each year. Participants learn first aid, CPR, and ocean rescue skills that protect both themselves and the entire community in an emergency. Youth are trained by California State Parks lifeguards, who also provide essential lifesaving services on Redwood National and State Park beaches. $250 funds a single scholarship.
Grove of Titans
Generous donors have helped fund boardwalks and trails that protect this ancient grove from the impact of more than 1,000 daily visitors during peak season. This work is ongoing. Your support ensures continued maintenance and stewardship of one of the most beloved trails within Redwood National and State Parks, protecting these towering giants for generations to come.
Protection and Restoration of Redwood Forest Ecosystems
This unique biome is home to more than 1,000 species of plants, animals, fungi, and insects, including several endangered species. Old-growth redwoods are a powerhouse for carbon storage, capturing more carbon than any other forest. With less than 5% of old-growth redwoods remaining, this landscape is irreplaceable. Your donation contributes to conservation projects that ensure these ancient forests remain protected and cared for long into the future.
