The old CCC building, now visitor center for Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.

Prairie Creek Visitor Center Restoration

Historic black and white photo of the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park visitor center

The building in which Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park visitor center is located was built in the 1930s and used for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). This beautiful old historic structure has suffered from years of deferred maintenance, and Redwood Parks Conservancy is working with California State Parks to find the funds to renovate the building.

Join Redwood Parks Conservancy in helping restore this historic building which will include bringing the original wooden floors back to original brilliance, design, construction and installation of compelling educational displays about the CCC years and about our coastal redwood region, and many other projects designed to protect the building and allow it to serve our visitors for decades to come.  Your donation in support of this renovation is tax deductible and you will receive a letter and updates on how the renovation is moving along. Together we can improve and protect this beautiful building.

Redwood Parks Conservancy is seeking to raise $250,000 to complete this much needed restoration. Won't you help us save this historic building?
