32nd Annual Candlelight Walk

The 32nd Annual Candlelight Walk in the Redwoods will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 as a virtual event

Tickets on sale NOW!

Join us for an immersive experience from Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Our virtual candlelight walk will take you among the redwoods on a luminaria-lit pathway. Storytellers and musicians will be fireside with stories and songs of winter, winter holidays, and the redwood forest. A one-hour online experience that captures some of the experience that redwood coast families have loved for 32 years. All proceeds benefit Redwood National and State Parks.

This year, we'll take advantage of our event being virtual to give you a view of trails that we couldn't walk with the in-person event at Prairie Creek. Watch for winding paths and maybe a famous Redwood Park location.

You can still help us produce this event by becoming a LUMINARY SPONSOR. Luminary sponsorships are still available but we are not able to send any more Candlelight Care packages.

Our online Auction begins at 9 am PST on December 11, ending at 9 pm PST on December 18.

Watch our Facebook Page for the opening of bidding and a link to our Auction.

Bidding is in $5 increments only. Any other bids will not be valid.

Made with Padlet

We all wanted to be out in Prairie Creek Redwood State Park among the luminaries this December. But to keep all our visitors, staff and volunteers safe we presented the Candlelight Walk virtually this year. The upside? We can share this experience with lovers of our redwood parks from all over the US.

What do I do if I have questions? Email us at [email protected] Maggie or David will help you.

When? Saturday December 11, 2021 6:00 p.m. PST

How long is the event? About an hour and fifteen minutes

Will there be a recorded version? Yes, we'll send a link to the recorded version to all participants after the live event is complete. The recording will be ready in about a day after the live event.

What else can I do to Support Redwood Parks? Take part in the Candlelight Walk Auction on Facebook. Check out our Projects Page and consider Donating or Leaving a Legacy to help us do more.

How can I do more to support Prairie Creek Redwoods and all of Redwood National and State Parks? Redwood Parks Conservancy is the official non-profit partner for these parks and other local public lands. We are currently raising funds through our “Redwood Resilience” campaign to support the parks in 2021.  You can donate at https://www.redwoodparksconservancy.org/donate-rpc
